John Crane, President
An Erie, Pa. native who never moved far from home. He graduated from Cathedral Prep, attended Gannon University, and then worked for Autoclave Engineers for many years as a service and sales manager, delving into the engineering, drafting and design of many projects, large and small.
John experienced opportunities with individuals of many influential companies throughout the world and transferred that big business mentality into the smaller, family owned business setting of Russell Upholstery Company Inc., by providing quality products and unsurpassed customer service to our customers.

Shelley Pflugh, Office Manager
After numerous years in the customer service industry, and supervisory positions, Shelley transitioned and excelled as office manager at Russell Upholstery. She handles the day-to-day operations, scheduling, and enjoys the direct customer contact.
Friendly and enthusiastic, she takes the time to get to know each customer and their expectations. Her personable skills resonate, not only with the staff, but with the community at large to help everyone understand the upholstery process.
Matthew Ehret, Production Supervisor/Master Upholster
Matt was trained in furniture design, fabrication, upholstery and finishing. He has 37 years of experience while the last 23 years have been at Russell Upholstery in a supervisory position. Matt prides himself in fabricating and detailing, while perfecting the finished upholstered product
Jorge Espada, Upholster
A 12 year experienced upholster who prides himself in his dedication to superior quality and detail. He has expended his product knowledge to modification, redesign, and custom building of all manufactured pieces of furniture. Jorge has significantly enhanced our ability to provide our clients a beautiful finished project, in a timely manner, that complements all types of decor.
Roy Smith, Driver & Furniture Repair
A true asset to supporting the entire staff. Roy is extremely personable with our clients and complements the quality our customers expect. He is skilled in many areas of furniture assessment, product removal, and repair.
Alena Kuryanovich, Seamstress
A premier seamstress with years of experience with clothing manufacturing. Alena has transitioned those skills to specialize in furniture upholstery, over the past 10 years. Her eye for pattern matching and detailing techniques has allowed us to produce the highest-quality products for our clients.
Yuliia , Seamstress
Yuliia joined the team at Russell Upholstery after moving to Erie from Ukraine. She brings with her years of experience in the clothing manufacturing industry. Her keen eye for detail has perfectly transitioned to upholstery allowing us to continue our premier products and services for our customers.
